Position Summary

The Women’s Volleyball Graduate Assistant will assist with all phases of the Women’s volleyball program.

Principal Accountabilities

Coaching Duties
. Carry out coaching plan in daily practice
. Meet and plan practices with head coach
. Work individually with student athletes on skill development
. Plan position specific drills and skills
. Demonstration and explanation of skills
. Meet with student athletes regarding academic and social issues

Travel Arrangements/Home Arrangements
. Organize team travel including airlines reservations, bus transportation, transportation to and from airport, meal arrangements, study tables, hotel reservations, directions to
facilities, resta urants, etc.
. Reconcile expenditures after road trips including receipts, expense vouchers, etc.
. Coordinate practice times for road and home matches
. Check with student athletes and secure academic necessities for all trips (laptops, test information, etc.)
. Organize pre- and post-game meals as needed for fall matches
. Greet opponents when they arrive for practices
. Coordinate men’s club team to work matches
. Assist with any assignments otherwise requested by Head Coach

. Coordinate with compliance all paperwork for team travel
. Complete compliance paperwork for all countable hours
. Complete compliance paperwork for unofficial/official recruit visits(tickets)

. Coordinate managers for video and digital video recording
. Coordinate tape exchange or tape download for Northeast Conference purposes Assist in sending/receiving scouting tapes to non-conference schools

Thoroughly know the NCAA rules

Summer Volleyball Camp
. Organize camp mailings, registration and other details for Bryant Summer Volleyball Clinics
. Run skills clinic

. Work with Promotions Department on annual marketing plan to raise funds

Community Service Coordinator
. Work with head coach on organizing community and public service activities

Black and Gold Club – Serve as liaison to Gold Black Booster Club

Kids Clinic Special Olympics – Work with head coach to promote and organize Kids Clnic (one per fall season)

. Assist staff with creativity in all recruiting mailings/emails
. Assist with coaches recruiting trips – tournament information, download schedules, University Athletes, etc. Check on hotels, rental car, and flights

Bryant Invitational Tournament
. Liaison with teams and line up sponsors.
. Coordinate tournament details, tournament gifts, and food

. Work with volleyball secretary on recruiting mailings and alumni address and mail
. Improve alumni data and help send monthly mailings to all alumni
. Alumni Night liaison/coordinator

Ticket Liaison/Pass List (home and away)
. Communication for all player tickets
. Communication for all coach and recruit tickets
. Communicate with ticket manager in a timely fashion
. Handle head coaches request

. Supervision of managers and their duties
. Determine manager schedule and respnsibility list


Strong personal communication and organizational skills are essential. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be admissable to graduate school.
