The Assistant/Associate Director, Employer Relations at Bryant University is responsible for implementing and coordinating the Amica Center for Career Education’s Employer Relations plan, which is designed to maximize career opportunities for all Bryant University students and engage employers and other recruiters as active and engaged recruiting partners. This position reports to the Executive Director and has two direct reports (Sr. Internship Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator). This position is tasked to develop, market and manage an employment recruiting program to increase full-time employment opportunities for graduating students (undergraduate, graduate, and alumni) and to develop internship and other experiential education opportunities for enrolled students. The incumbent will also oversee and coordinate the utilization of job-attainment oriented technology applications and associated databases within the Amica Center and provide career advising for graduating students. The incumbent will contribute to the Amica Center’s sponsorship efforts as one of several staff tasked to develop such opportunities.
This position reports to the Executive Director of the Amica Center for Career Education as do the Assistant Director of Employer Outreach and Development, the Associate Director for Career Development, and the Administrative Coordinator. The Assistant/Associate Director, Employer Relations is a full-time position with excellent benefits. Title and salary commensurate with experience.
The Amica Center for Career Education is responsible for effectively delivering career services counseling/coaching/advising for undergraduate (part- and full-time) students, graduate students and alumni, workshops, career information programs, and related office programs and services. The Amica Center endeavors to establish and maintain robust recruiting relationships with employers across all employment sectors, and also works closely with Bryant faculty and staff to ensure excellent connections and relations. The office also administers and continues to develop the on-campus recruiting program, publishes a weekly job newsletter for Alumni, and manages the online student job board, Bryant Career Connection.
The principal accountabilities of the Assistant/Associate Director, Employer Relations at Bryant University include but are not limited to the following:
• Develops and markets the employer recruiting program for all students.
This position is best filled by an individual with a Master’s degree and relevant experience in the career services field. Strong sales and marketing skills are required to promote the employment recruiting program, and knowledge of current trends in the job market is important. Strong proficiency with computer applications, including online job boards, MS Office, web-based software, database applications, and social media required. The ability to establish rapport and deal effectively with a broad range of individuals, and excellent oral and written communications skills and administrative skills are required. The ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups is imperative. Supervisory experience required. Excellent advising skills required. Willingness to travel and work evening and/or weekend hours as required.

The University is looking to staff this role during our normal business hours of Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Evening and/or weekend hours may be required on an as needed basis.
