Position Summary

The Department of Economics at Bryant University invites applications for a non-tenure track, one-year appointment at the Lecturer level for the 2017-18 academic year.

Bryant is located on a 428 acre campus in Smithfield, RI, which is situated 15 minutes from Providence, RI, and 45 minutes from Boston, MA.

The Economics Department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics.

Principal Accountabilities

This position includes teaching at the undergraduate level as well as contributing to student growth and development through active involvement in student related activities (e.g., advising). The candidate will also be required to participate in appropriate service to the department, the college, and the university at large, and must demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in a related field required, ABD or Ph.D. preferred. Teaching experience preferred.

Working Environment

The standard teaching load for non-tenure track positions is four (4) courses per semester.
