Bryant is currently recruiting for an Adjunct teaching opportunity for the fall 2017 semester in the area of Political Science. The fall 2017 semester runs from Tuesday, September 5 –Thursday, December 21, 2017.

The following section is available and will meet for its first class on Tuesday, September 5:

• Global Politics (POLS 241) meets from 12:30-1:45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This course is an introduction to the field of global politics, also known as international relations. It focuses on a variety of interconnected topics, including the development of the nation-state system and political interactions among countries over issues of war and peace, human rights, and economic and environmental policies. We also explore the evolution and work of international institutions such as the United Nations and the World Bank, and non-governmental international organizations such as environmental and human rights groups.

Principal Accountabilities

This position includes teaching at the undergraduate level as well as contributing to student growth and development through active involvement in student related activities (e.g., advising).

Qualifications

Graduate degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in a related field required. Teaching experience preferred. Based on University procedures, adjunct faculty are typically limited to teaching no more than two classes per semester.

Working Environment

Regular attendance at assigned job site and the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and constituents are essential functions of this position.
