Position Summary

The Intramural Sports Intern will directly report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Recreation.

Principal Accountabilities

• Assist with direct responsibility of the Intramural Program
• Assist with day to day operations of the intramural program
• Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate student officials, statisticians, and supervisors
• Provide risk management training to student staff members
• Promote and market intramural programs
• Assist with preparation and execution of any special events
• Purchase and inventory all equipment associated with the program.

• Coordinate program business operations including, but not limited to:
o Budget maintenance
o Purchasing
o Travel
o General clerical duties


• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in a related field
• Previous experience in sports and recreation programs or facilities
• Familiarity with current trends within recreational sports profession
• Excellent communication skills
NIRSA Member preferred
• Must be First Aid/CPR certified
